Besides handling the company's financial matters, the Finance and Administration Department is in charge of the seafarer's payroll service and delivery system.
The Crew Family Welfare provides important information to seafarers and their families regarding the privileges and benefits that they are entailed to receive. This would include AMOSUP, OWWA, SSS, PAG-IBIG and PhilHealth. A system is also designed for the seafarers to make sure that they receive their packages, whether it would be a letter or parcel, onboard. In line with this, the department also makes sure that urgent messages from their family are received timely.
Allotments are also made sure to be available to the seafarers and their families before the end of the month without any charges. Cash Advances are also given with the agreement that it would be deducted from their shipboard pay. Medical coverage for the seafarers is also given to them and their family provided that they have been with the company for 48 months on board. Repatriated crews who are injured and ill are also given the needed medical treatment as soon as they arrive in the Philippines. In relation to this, dismissal and death of seafarers are looked into with great care by the officer in charge of such.
Value-added activities are also held for the benefit of the seafarers which include a Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) that tackles company policies, principal profile, discipline, safety and health hazards on board, recent development and accounting matters.
Loyalty Award for Seafarers is also given to honor the crews who have been with the company for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years.
